The Nashville Wine Auction successfully celebrated the tenth anniversary of Pairings: Nashville’s Ultimate Wine and Food Weekend.
The three-day series of food and wine events took place February 24 through 26, and exists to help fund the fight against cancer. The weekend attracted wine lovers of all levels – explorers, enthusiasts, and collectors – and succeeded in raising $730,000 to support local cancer-fighting charities. The Nashville Wine Auction is the country’s longest-running charity wine auction.
On Thursday, Feb. 24, several private Vintner Dinners were held throughout the Nashville and Franklin area in private homes and a couple of restaurants’ private dining rooms. On Friday, February 25, Wined Up! was held at City Winery, which featured twenty-nine visiting vintners sharing their wines with the guests. Then on Saturday, February 26, the Pairings Dinner and live auction was held at City Winery, which featured five vintners’ wines and the cuisine from Chef Tandy Wilson and Chef Nate Appleman.
